Shopify's own guidance is to stop creating new purchase orders in Stocky roughly two weeks before the deadline, receive and close out anything still in transit, and have your replacement workflow live before the cutoff. With five weeks left as of this writing, that means acting now, not in August.

Export What You Need — It Won't Move Automatically

Historical purchase orders, stocktakes, and inventory records don't transfer out of Stocky into Shopify on their own. If your team wants that history for accounting or planning purposes, export it — Shopify keeps Stocky in read-only mode for about 90 days after August 31 so you can still pull reports, but once that window closes it's gone for good. Don't leave it to the last minute.

Supplier data is the bigger problem: Stocky has no export path for vendor records at all. Supplier names, contact details, and reorder terms need to be manually rebuilt in whatever tool you move to. Do this early — it's tedious, and it's the kind of task that gets skipped until someone needs a supplier's phone number the week after the shutdown.

Why Shopify's Native Tools Aren't a Full Replacement

Shopify is directing displaced Stocky merchants to the inventory tools already built into Shopify Admin and POS — location-based tracking, transfers, stock adjustments, low-stock alerts, and channel sync.
