July 7, 2025: Stocky stopped supporting inventory transfers between locations and min/max demand forecasting — the first features to go.
February 2, 2026: Stocky was removed from the Shopify App Store. Existing installs kept working, but no new merchant could add it.
August 31, 2026: Full shutdown. Stocky stops functioning entirely and every Stocky API call fails — including any custom integration your store built on top of it.
Shopify's own guidance is to close out in-flight purchase orders and stop creating new ones in Stocky about two weeks before the deadline, then finish migrating to a replacement before the cutoff.
Your historical Stocky data won't move on its own
Purchase order history, stocktakes, and inventory records don't automatically transfer out of Stocky. Shopify keeps Stocky in read-only mode for about 90 days after the August 31 shutdown so you can still export historical data — but nothing moves to Shopify on its own, and once that window closes, anything you didn't pull is gone. Supplier records are worse: Stocky has no export path for vendor data at all, so vendor relationships and contact details need to be rebuilt by hand in whatever you migrate to.
